A beneficiary can call or use an ambulance in case of an accident or an emergency, to be transferred for treatment to the nearest, appropriate Accident and Emergency Department (A&E Dept.).
Moreover, the beneficiary can call or use an ambulance, after obtaining a referral in the following cases:
- scheduled transfers to and from the premises of a contracted healthcare provider from/to the beneficiary’s place of accommodation, when any other vehicle is considered medically unsuitable to transfer the beneficiary,
- scheduled transfers to and from the premises of a contracted healthcare provider to another healthcare provider , when any other vehicle is considered medically unsuitable to transfer the beneficiary.
